About Caitlin Moloney

Caitlin Moloney is an Australian-born multidisciplinary artist of Celtic, Iberian, and Northwest European descent. In 2004, at the age of 26, Caitlin moved to Aotearoa New Zealand and was immediately captivated by the peacefulness of the Coromandel. A few months later, Caitlin discovered the Coromandel’s vibrant clay community at Driving Creek Railway and Potteries.

Her early exposure to multiculturalism, community care, and social justice sparked a deep curiosity to explore how we can foster an integrated culture within a colonised world. Caitlin’s work continually asks: What is our language of connection—to place and to one another? Caitlin is an accomplished pottery maker, but when she does street art, she does it very well.
